The Daniell Trust
Who we support

The Trust has supported a wide range of charities of varying sizes over the years; these are some examples of some of those organisations.
Surfers Against Sewage
Registered Charity No 1145877
www.sas.org.uk
The Regional Representatives are the pulsating heart of SAS and act as the ‘canaries in the coalmine’ witnessing the local impact of national and international decisions and actions and motivating and empowering their communities to do more and, in their own words, fight the good fight. Working together as a powerful force to make real change happen, this is a grassroots approach to the global issues faced by our coastlines and this team is made up of passionate and engaged volunteers from all walks of life. We are extremely grateful to the A&N Daniell Charitable Trust for their support of this programme.
Buglife-The Invertebrate Conservation Trust
Registered charity no. 1092293
www.buglife.org.uk
This is the only charity in Europe devoted to the conservation of all invertebrates, and is actively working to save Britain's rarest bugs, bees, butterflies, ants, worms, beetles and many more fascinating invertebrates.
Plantlife – the Wild Plant Conservation Charity
Registered Charity No 1059559
www.plantlife.org.uk
The A & N Daniell Charitable Trust is supporting Plantlife’s radical new four-year project - the National Plant Monitoring Scheme (NPMS), which aims to catalogue the UK’s wild flora within a wide range of habitats. The exciting thing about the NPMS is that it will result in 2000+ volunteers gaining skills in monitoring and botanic identification, creating a pool of expertise for future conservation work. The grant will be used to provide support for the volunteers through a cost-effective programme using ‘peer to peer’ and ‘train the trainer’ methods, to be rolled out in 2016.
The John Muir Trust
Charity No SC002061
www.johnmuirtrust.org
The John Muir Trust is a conservation charity dedicated to protecting and enhancing wild places. The Trust campaigns to keep wild places free from inappropriate development and open for all to enjoy; works to restore natural habitats and native species, to help nature flourish; and helps people of all ages and backgrounds to connect with, enjoy and care for wild places. We own and care for some of the UK’s finest wild landscapes including parts of Skye, Ben Nevis, Schiehallion, and the remote Knoydart peninsula. The support of the A & N Daniell Charitable Trust has been invaluable in helping us achieve so much over the years, and we are so grateful for the Trustees’ support.
Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre
Registered Charity No 1095737
www.tinytimcentre.co.uk
We are very grateful to the A & N Daniel Trust for their continued support in helping us to provide free therapy sessions to children with disabilities and special needs. Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre, based in Coventry, provides thousands of treatments free of charge to children with disabilities and special needs. The Centre’s qualified therapists provide paediatric physiotherapy, massage, Bowen, reflexology and occupational therapy to children from birth to eighteen years old who suffer from a wide range of complex/acute health conditions who come from across the Midlands and further afield. This work is partly funded by the adjoining soft play area Purple Planet which is open to the general public.
The Walled Garden Project
Registered Charity No 1108757
www.facebook.com/thewalledgardenproject
The Walled Garden Project was set up in 2004. Its main objective is to offer alternative education through Horticulture and Rural Studies to adults and young people with learning difficulties; behavioural, physical and/or mental health issues. We are based in the pretty village of Tong Norton, close to The Weston Park Estate on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border. We have a large vegetable, fruit and cut flower growing area, herb garden, orchard, a large polytunnel, woodland garden, lawned area with mixed borders, workshop and tool room. Thanks to The Bradford Rural Estates we also have access to several acres of woodland surrounding a 26 acre lake; a beautiful environment in which to learn. We also offer an 'off site' educational package to schools; most schools have a garden area but rarely does it get used. At present we deliver sessions one day a week at a school on the Shropshire/Welsh border and one day a week at a school in The West Midlands. As a charity we rely on donations and continuously apply for funding through various channels.
The A&N Daniell Trust has supported The Walled Garden Project for many years, allowing us to purchase much needed resources and equipment. We thank them for their continued support and interest in our work.
The Shropshire Wildlife Trust
Registered Charity No 212744
www.shropshirewildlifetrust.org.uk
Shropshire Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading wildlife charity, with all its work taking place within Shropshire. It owns 40 nature reserves, works with over 3000 young people each year and supports a range of community environmental projects. It also has visitor centres in Shrewsbury and Ellesmere. The Trust relies on the generosity of its members and supporters, as it receives no core government funding. The Trust wants to see wildlife everywhere to be enjoyed and appreciated by the people of Shropshire. We really do appreciate the support the A&N Daniell Trust gives us.
